I rediscovered photography some years ago, and what began as a renewed hobby gradually became a source of peace and personal reflection. There is something deeply satisfying about seeing the world through a lens, composing an image, and later revisiting the moment through post-processing. Photography has become my way of slowing down, observing more closely, and appreciating the beauty of everyday life.

My name is Kap K. Kim (김갑기 in Korean), though friends often call me Kapper. I immigrated to the United States many years ago and have spent most of my adult life here, which I now call home.

Like many young immigrants, I experienced the challenges of adapting to a new language, culture, and way of life. Those early experiences, while not always easy, gradually shaped my curiosity about people, cultures, and the different ways of life around the world.

The photographs collected here reflect the places, people, and moments that have caught my eye and stirred my curiosity during my travels. Through my lens, I hope to capture not only the scenery but also the subtle character and distinctions that make each city, town, and village unique.
