Traveling around Lijiang region (茶馬古道, Ancient Tea-Horse Trade Trail), Yunnan Province, China [2014]

About

I rediscovered photography as my renewed hobby some time ago. Then, I also found that photography became my mind-soothing therapeutic effect when framing up what’s coming through the lens and post-processing the images.

My name is Kap K. Kim (김갑기 in Hangul), also known as Kapper among friends. Many years ago, I immigrated to the US and have lived my adult life in my new homeland.

Young immigrants’ traumatic experiences from culture shock and adaptation difficulties were challenging but managed. It triggered a high degree of interest among diverse cultures and people in other countries and regions.

The collection here is travel images that attract my mind and eyes and, therefore, the lens. Hopefully, unique differences from one town to another village are well recorded and illustrated. If you found your liking of one or a few images, it would make me feel graciously grateful because we got connected.
